I have been using the Toshiba R20-JK2 with Windows Vista Business for a year with few problems, I went to toshiba's website where I downloaded all the Vista drivers I needed from http://support.toshiba.ca/support/download/listdrivers/drivers.asp (In top right corner select operating system so you wont get confused)

Note: The fingerprint reader driver is old so you will need to get a new driver when Vista's "Problem Reports and Solutions" gives you the link to download it. Also, you may want to upgrade to 2 GB of RAM (see tigerdirect.com for US, .ca for CDN) and get the latest Toshiba Value Added Package from the generic drivers page http://support.toshiba.ca/support/Download/ln_byModel.asp for the R20 as the specific drivers page contains an outdated version.

Sigh - I was so excited when reading this.

Unfortunately hammerofgod.com seems to be down.
Any other way to get the software?

Can you upload it somewhere or maybe sent it to me directly?

Thanks a lot!

Thanks for the write-up. I have been researching pfSense for a while and did an install last night. I found the interface more difficult than SmoothWall Express, but that's to be expected because there are a ton more features here (which is why I'm leaving SmoothWall Express).

Question - Could you go into detail on how you got your second WAN connection up? Does it have to be on it's own NIC or can I multihome a single WAN NIC?

Hi Jeffrey,
I am a manager for a number of components within the core Windows network stack. I'd love to learn more about what you mean by "pauses" caused by auto-tuning. Can you please expand on that? Also, I own the policy-based QoS component which was misrepresented in the Network World article you referenced. It turns out that component does exactly what the author said it doesn't. In any case, I'd love to hear your feedback and am happy to work with you to answer any questions you have about the new stack. Glad to hear you're making progress on your wireless WAN connection. Shoot me an email any time you have Vista/Srv2k8 networking questions.

Best,
Gabe
