Vista Windows Update Warning

Just one quick warning tonight…
Be careful and check the updates that you are being offered. I was offered a Toshiba update for HDD protection for my laptop. This was an optional update, so it wouldn’t have been auto-installed if one would set Vista to auto-update.
The problem? The update offered was a x64 version of the software. This doesn’t match the software (or chip capabilities) of my R25 laptop, which is limited to x86.
I’ve bugged this, so we’ll see what happens…

so is it true that toshiba won’t support vista on the r25? i’m about to buy one and am concerned that it won’t work well with a vista upgrade…
