There hasn’t been much new to update, but I thought I would post a few tidbits…
1. From Susan Bradley’s Blog:
Jeff from Vancouver also writes in that he wants a more detailed description of what the group policy can and cannot do.
You know [in my opinion] the best source for seeing the power of group policy is? In an Excel spreadsheet. Now granted I think it’s because us beancounters are born with a spreadsheet so it’s more natural to us, but that one document more often than not shows me what can be done.
2. Check your mailboxes if you were interested in testing R2… (pouting about not getting an invitation, but I will get that resolved tomorrow)…
3. I got a new laptop this weekend as my old laptop was dying… The new one uses a 64 bit AMD chip… I tried installing (in a seperate partition) the latest build of Windows XP 64 bit Edition, but the lack of drivers is still affecting usability. Why won’t hardware manufacturers release newer drivers or why doesn’t MS create an additional compatibility layer to use 32 bit drivers on the 64-bit OS?
